mika hernandez (they + she) is a mixed, queer, non binary artist, cook, community organizer, and plant person. their work explores magic and healing through food and plants and celebrates her communities' stories of resistance and resilience.

mika was born, raised, and currently lives on unceded Lisjan Ohlone territory (Oakland, CA). mika is yonsei (fourth generation japanese american), third generation mexican american, and a fourth generation corean american.

mika has a strong love for her people and plants. mika is an oral history, social movements, and public transit nerd.
