a paragraph that reads: “seasonal note: as we emerge from the cold and quiet of winter, the warmth of the spring sun and all the blooms that perfume the air feel like a celebration. spring is the seasonal affirmation that after months of hibernation, signs of life can poke their little shoots from the ground and begin to show off their growth again. the following recipes use lots of veggies to celebrate all the freshnes and greenness that spring has to offer. these foods make me feel more in tune with the earth, those around me, and the energies that i receive from both. i hope they can do the same for you.”

this is the second in a series of illustrated seasonal recipe books that share food and stories from the parts of me i often don't have words for. this one focuses a lot on the miracle that is springtime veggies.

the idea for this project sprouted at the intersection of my passions for food, healing, art, and writing. i developed and wrote the recipes and reflected on the story behind each of them.
